Extended Schools
As an extended school we now provide a range of services and activities before, during and after the school day to help meet the needs of children, families and the wider community. It is hoped that the school counselling service can also extend to provide counselling not just for pupils but also for parents, families and members of the community.
In collaboration with NEW LIFE COUNSELLING appointments are available for parents and families on school premises or at another location if that is more suitable. A New Life counsellor is in school every Friday based in the community wing. A StreetBeat counsellor is also in school on a Monday and Wednesday and offers individual counselling and group work. Referal for these services must come through Mrs J Duncan School Counsellor as pupils will not gain access to the community wing on their own. They will also offer a support service over the school holidays.
