Cashless Canteen
All pupils are issued with a swipe card that can be topped-up and is used to pay for school meals. Pupils who receive free school meals will automatically have their card topped up when they use the canteen. All other pupils can top up their cards as they wish. A top-up machine is located in the canteen block and takes both coins and notes. Pupils can check the balance on their card at this machine.
If a card is forgotten a temporary card will be issued but this can happen only once in a calendar month. If a card is lost a replacement can be purchased at a cost of £3.50.
The canteen does not take any cash at all and no exceptions can be made.
