Leaving Dates
Pupils may leave school at the end of the school year in which they turn 16. This includes pupils whose 16th birthday falls in the July or August before they begin Year 12.
No pupil may start full time employment until she has completed all public examinations/assessments.
Each year there is a number of Year 12 girls uncertain about returning to Year 13. If they are seriously looking for work they should regard themselves as leavers. They can, if necessary, be re-enrolled in September provided there are places available and they have the necessary GCSE results, attendance level and attitude.
See also Returning to Sixth Form of more post 16 options.
