World Premier
26 June 2007
A private VIP Storm Cinema screen at the Odyssey was the venue for the first public showing of Model School for Girls latest movie, "Girls Just Want to Have Fun".
While teachers and students were at home enjoying the Easter sun a group of students were hard at work here in the school. Helping the students were our school Learning Mentors, one of whom make an appearance in the movie as a ghost.
The audience at the Odyssey enjoyed the movie from the luxury of large leather recliners last Monday and now you have the chance to view from where ever are right now. Just start the movie below.

What TopLink and Dreams and Teams offers:
The opportunity for senior girls to develop leadership skills through managing festivals in the community, has evolved over the past seven years. Up to 60, 15 year olds manage and coach the TOPLink festival, hosting 200 local Primary 6 pupils, boys and girls, from different cultures and sportability. Twenty Young Leaders also visited Fleming Fulton School to deliver a Dance/ games festival for able bodied and disabled P6 pupils. A group of ten, 16-17 year old pupils are building a Global partnership in the British Council/Youth Sport Trust's Dreams and Teams project, communicating with a similar group of girls in Sri Lanka. This project involves the group running ten festivals in all and sharing experiences across the world. The initiative benefits the Young Leaders in personal development, citizenship, business enterprise skills, communication, teamwork, planning, risk assessment, event management, public relations, working with partners and evaluation and analysis of performance. It also benefits the primary school children across our community, developing both vertical and peer integration and celebrating diversity and inclusion through sport and dance.
