A Big Thanks
16 April 2008
Over the past year a new and exciting project has been unfolding. It’s a partnership between teachers and pupils that is already helping improve communication and teamwork within the school. Student Voice meets to discuss important issues and share concerns with staff about matters that affect the whole school. In turn the staff get to feedback directly to student leaders who then disseminate the information among the other pupils.
All this would not have been possible without the great training given by Tom Middlehurst on issues like interviewing students and how to be learning partners with teaching staff.
This training was expensive and was paid for by “The Big Deal” lottery funding after an application by one of our head girls Carole Grant proved successful. “The Big Deal” provided us with a very generous £2500 and all of the people involved in Student Voice would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this help.
